If something is polluting your happiness, why the fuck haven’t you removed it from your life yet? Seriously. Complaining does nothing. Stop wasting time and take some responsibility. Empower yourself. If you don’t like something and it can be changed, go ahead and change it. Switching jobs, moving on from a toxic group of friends, or expressing yourself freely can take a smudge of courage sometimes, but chasing a dream and feeling like you’re on the right track will lift weights from your body and soul. Allow yourself to be lighter. If the only thing stopping you is yourself, wake up and see how silly you’re being. We all have infinite imaginations and there are infinite possibilities of how things can turn out. Realise that how we spend our days is ultimately how we spend our lives. Take the risk. Pinpointing what you want and doing anything you can to achieve it is motivating. Think of how you’d like things to be and keep a clear image in your mind. Pay equal attention to the bigger picture and the finer details. You’ll be surprised by the way things fall into place when your energy is channelled towards nurturing yourself. The amount of progress that you make is up to you. Be assertive. This is your life and your experience. Remember that people’s actions and opinions have nothing to do with you. Stop living for others and start living for yourself. There’s nothing selfish about acting with integrity and respecting yourself. Dancing through life, regardless of who joins you, is liberating. Break habitual self-sabotage. Breathe.
